This wedding on the water holds a very special place in my heart. I met Lauren about 5 years ago at my first job right out of college. We became fast friends pretty much instantly! One Monday morning, Lauren came to work smiling from ear to ear about the cute bar back she met at Cocktail Club in Downtown Charleston and the rest is history! Tyler decided to pop the question on the street outside of their homes where they fell for each other. He then whisked her away in a plane to enjoy a weekend at the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina during Christmas time! This wedding matched their style so perfectly and it was such a special day that I was so fortunate to be apart of!
Lauren & Tyler chose the Historic Rice Mill because it was the perfect blend of Charleston History, waterfront views and character. They loved the large wood bar, back patios, exposed brick and large windows overlooking the harbor. They especially wanted to invite their friends and family to the city that they fell in love with and fell in love in!
They wanted the wedding to have a casual romantic feel and let the building and surroundings take center stage. An un-fussy setting filled with greenery and hints of blue and pink.

From the blueberry topped cutting cake to the beautiful emerald toned sofa everything tied together and was the perfect mix. Lauren is a true bohemian minimalist at heart, she loved the subtle touches such as the cane back head chairs, brass candle holders, wood hourglass side tables and whimsical area rug to complete their perfect wedding!
